Opening our gates in 1995, family-owned and operated, Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire has earned the honor of being Oregon's longest running Renaissance Faire. In late 2011, the owners of Shrewsbury, and their many volunteers, were asked to put on a new event in this magical location. Bringing together a wondrous gathering of knights and princess, as they stand side-by-side with elves, fairies, pirates and gypsies, on a weekend filled with performances to enchant children and grown-up alike. Our Merchants' Market - where artisans display goods from around the world - features local artisans and craftsman who offer their handmade goods created right here.
For over 17 years the owners, volunteers and participants of Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire have treated every patron like they were a part of our family. Sherwood Fantasy Faire will continue on with that tradition with a new theme that is on the whimsical side of revelry.
We hope that you will join us in cheering on champion knights at the Joust Arena; feast like a King on a cornucopia of hearty food and drink a plenty; delight in the antics of street performers; hear musicians playing authentic period instruments; and watch demonstrations of the time-honored arts of weaving, coin minting, spinning, sculpting, glass blowing, pewter and blacksmithing, and leather crafting. You hope you discover an enchanted place where Fairy-tales become flesh and fantasy takes flight but BEWARE the Dragon!
